CONFIDENT VOICES is our FREE and innovative creative arts educational program.

Our program is specifically designed to help young people who stutter develop the self-confidence and courage they need to communicate with more confidence, to build a sense of community, and establish supportive friendships, while having lots of FUN!

We offer a range of creative arts programs (online and in-person) that support young people who stutter to expand their comfort zones. And we offer one-day interstate events several times a year.

Building on individual's strengths, interests, and communication goals, we offer each young person a highly individualised and magical experience, where they are seen, heard, and loved for exactly who they are today.

At SAY: AU we are guided by the belief that a young person who stutters has a voice that matters and it is a voice that deserves to be heard.

Every young person who stutters has a story to tell!

SAY It Your Way - NEW ONLINE PROGRAM FOR 2026

SAY It Your Way

We’re excited to be launching a brand-new online program running from May to September — a space designed to help young people who stutter explore and understand stuttering, and to find their own way of expressing themselves, in a supportive, relaxed, and super fun environment.

Across the program, participants will connect with other kids who stutter, and take part in creative sessions that bring their voice to life.

Whether kids who stutter love to talk, create, perform, or are still figuring it out, there’s always a place for them here.

How the program works

The program runs across 10 Saturday sessions (every two weeks), giving participants time to build confidence, reflect, and grow between sessions.

Block 1: Advocacy & Stuttering

(May–June)
Led by Rich and the SAY: AU team
🕥 2:00pm – 3:30pm (Melbourne time)

This block focuses on understanding stuttering and building confidence in communication.

Through interactive sessions, participants will explore:

  • what stuttering means to them
  • how to talk about it with others
  • how to advocate for themselves in everyday situations

It’s about building comfort, confidence, and finding your voice — your way.

Session Dates:
May 16 & 30
June 13 & 27

Block 2: Music & Stuttering

(July–August)
Led by Isabella and the SAY: AU team
🕥 10:30am – 12:00pm (Melbourne time)

This block brings creativity into the mix.

Using music as a way to explore expression, participants will:

  • experiment with storytelling through music
  • express thoughts, ideas, and experiences in creative ways
  • build confidence sharing and being heard in a supportive space

No music experience needed...just a willingness to give it a go.

Session Dates:
July 11 & 25
August 8 & 22

Final Sessions (September)

Session 9: Sharing Creations
A chance for participants to share what they’ve created in a relaxed, supportive space.

Session 10: Celebration & Reflection
We wrap up the program by celebrating the journey, reflecting on growth, and recognising each participant’s voice in the space.

Session Dates:
September 5 & 19
