Enrol your child in our FREE In-Person and Online Creative Arts Programs TODAY!

CONFIDENT VOICES is our FREE weekend innovative creative arts educational program.

Our program is specifically designed to help young people who stutter develop the self-confidence and courage they need to communicate more effectively, build a sense of community and establish supportive friendships, while having lots of FUN!

We offer year-round in-person programs in Melbourne, and online programs for young people who stutter nationally. And, in 2024, we will be bringing our CONFIDENT VOICES in-person programming to QLD.

At SAY: AU we are guided by the belief that a young person who stutters has a voice that matters and it is a voice that deserves to be heard.

Every young person who stutters has a story to tell!

We offer a range of creative arts programs that support young people who stutter to expand their comfort zones. Building on individual's strengths, interests, and communication goals, we offer each young person a highly individualised experience to maximise results.

Each program puts groups of young people together to create their own unique project. At the end of each program the groups get the opportunity to present their project to an audience filled with supportive family and friends.

Young people have complete control on how they wish to participate in this final SHOWCASE performance – there’s no pressure to perform – and it’s the ultimate confidence building experience that can transfer directly into the classroom and everyday life.

Our amazing Teaching Artists, will welcome kids and teens who stutter to spend 8 weeks sharing their friendship, passion, and voices as they work together on original songs, learning the craft of songwriting and performing along this beautiful journey.

The culmination of the project is a LIVE SHOW, where our brilliant young people will SOAR as they share their songs, accompanied by our musically talented team, to a loving and supportive audience filled with family, friends, and special SAY: AU guests.

SOCIAL HANGS

In-between our Interstate events and CONFIDENT VOICES programs, we offer several FREE Melbourne-based social hangs throughout the year. Ranging from days out in the Royal Botanical Gardens, to bowling, days at the beach, and to trips to the theatre, these social activities provide further opportunities for kids and teens who stutter to connect in a more unstructured way.

FREE ONLINE (ZOOM) PROGRAMS / SOCIAL HANGS:

In 2024, SAY in the US and SAY: AU are coming together to expand our online programming to offer community, support, and creative workshops for young people who stutter all over the world.

Our program offers a brave space for young people who stutter to make friends with others who understand what they’re going through, have a creative outlet, share their stories, and learn new ways of advocating for themselves. This new program will establish a global community, where each participant’s voice is not only heard, but celebrated. At SAY, we believe in using the Arts to ignite the power of deep listening, connection, support, and self-expression.

We are committed to creating a fun, nurturing, and inspiring virtual environment where participants feel supported and empowered and always have as much time as they need to speak.
